Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
4 HCU (~4 SRM)
Bitterness: 28 IBU
OG: 1.085 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 9.1% v/v (7.1% w/w)
Grain: 11 lb. Belgian Pilsner
Mash: 70% efficiency
Mash @ 149° F
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.060 7 gallons
3 lb. Belgian candi sugar
Irish Moss @ 15 min
Hops: 2.25 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 90 min.)
Yeast: WLP 570 or Wyeast 1388
Log: Pitch yeast at 64oF. Let temps rise slowly to 82oF over the course of 1 week. Allow 4-6 months conditioning (patience pays off!).
Carbonation: Carb beer to ~4 volumes (8.5 oz corn sugar for a 5 gallon batch)
