Q6
A slight modification to a recipe I have been fine-tuning. Going a little more or a little less on the extract has been OK, the key is the balance of the malt and grain with lots of finishing hops.

Steep: | I steep the grains in hot water for a while before boiling, and even left them in once after starting the boil, pulling them out part way through. Seems ok either way. | |||||||

Yeast: | WyEast American Ale 1056 smack pack. | |||||||
Log: | Ferments about two weeks. | |||||||
Carbonation: | Prime bottles with cooper drops and/or force carbonate to 2.0 to 2.5. | |||||||
Tasting: | I love Amarillo hops. Lots of citrus aroma. Could be stronger, but I like a light refreshing hoppy beer. |
