Bitterness: 18 IBU
OG: 1.052 FG: -
Alcohol: -
Grain: 1 lb. Wheat malt
.5 lb. American crystal 10L
.5 lb. British Carastan
.5 lb. Flaked rye
Steep: bag Malts and Flaked Rye put in cold water heat to 160F turn off heat let steep for 30 min.
Boil: minutes SG 1.086 3 gallons
6 lb. Wheat extract
add 1tsp Irish Moss with 15 min left in boil. after 60 min boil remove hops add 1 1/2 pound of both Raspberries and Currents let steep for 30 min.
Hops: 1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast American Wheat used pint starter,Use blow off tube
Log: Primary 1 week, rack to secondary over 1/2 pound Raspberries and Currents leave for one week. bottle with 3/4 cup corn sugar.
Tasting: The Color is actually a nice reddish because of the fruit. I wasn't sure about this one I brewed this because I had a lot of both raspberries and currents in freezer after tasting it I can't stop drinking it.
