OG: 1.080 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 9.0% v/v (7.1% w/w)
Grain: 75g Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
75g Oats (raw)
Steep: Steep for 20 minutes at 155°F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.080 2 gallons
810g Wheat extract
255g Brown sugar
150g Belgian candi sugar
300g Peanut Butter (Powdered)
355g Corn sugar
Add extract, corn sugar, and brown sugar when temperature reaches 185°F and sustain a rolling boil for 2-3 minutes
15 minute before end of boil, add the Belgian candi sugar. Stir until all of the candi sugar is dissolved into the wort.
Add Powdered Peanut Butter(Boil last 5 min)
Hops: 8g Nugget (12% AA, 60 min.)
8g Amarillo (8% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Safbrew s-33 Dry
Log: Brewed 5/10/09 Total brew time: 1 hour 50 minutes
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Cane Sugar: 46.1g for 2 gallons @ 65°F
1-1/2 tsp of granular sugar per 22 oz bottle.
