6 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 46 IBU
OG: 1.044 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.4% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Grain: 2.5 lb. German Pilsner
.5 lb. German Vienna
.25 lb. American crystal 20L
Mash: 60% efficiency
Infusion mash at 158 degrees.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.034 6.5 gallons
4 lb. Light malt extract
1 tsp Irish moss after 45 minutes
Hops: 2.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 2 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 2124, quart stepped starter, decant clear liquid before pitching
Log: Ferment 4 days at 50 degrees, rack, 21 days at 50 deg.
Carbonation: Prime with 1 cup dextrose
