Standard hefeweizen recipe from Dan's Homebrewing Supplies in Vancouver, BC.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 23 liters
Color:
3 HCU (~3 SRM)
Bitterness: 19 IBU
OG: 1.047 FG: 1.006
Alcohol: 5.3% v/v (4.2% w/w)
Grain: 10 oz. German Pilsner
10 oz. Wheat malt
Steep: Raised 5 litres of water to 90°C and steeped grains for 30 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.072 15 liters
7.25 lb. Wheat extract
Hops: 1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Nottingham Munich dry yeast.
Log: Primary for 1 week at ~22°C. Secondary for 3 weeks at ~18°C
Carbonation: 2.4 volumes Corn Sugar: 4.43 oz. for 23 liters @ 14°C
Tasting: Very nice, well balanced wheat beer. Slightly under carbonated though.
