Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
136 HCU (~43 SRM)
Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.069 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 7.1% v/v (5.6% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. American chocolate
1 lb. Flaked oats
8 oz. American black patent
Boil: minutes SG 1.138 2.5 gallons
2 lb. Amber malt extract
5 lb. Dark malt extract
1 lb. 8 oz. Brown sugar
Add 8 cups of filtered french roast at the end of the boil.
Hops: 2 oz. Nugget (12% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: Using Scottish Ale yeast (1728) this time around. 1084 or 1056 would also be fine.
