Grant's Imperfect Porter
This was a wild attempt at replicating Grant's Perfect Porter.
It didn't succeed, but DAMN is it GOOD!

Grain: | 6 oz. Caramel Pils Malt 2.0 lb. Chocolate Malt 1.5 lb. Black Malt 12 oz. Flaked barley 3 oz. Smoked Peat |

Steep: | Bring 3 qts dist. water to 150F. Steep crushed grains for 45:00. Sparge with 3 more qts 150F into kettle. Top up to 6 gallons and begin boil. |

Boil for at least 20 minutes and skim well. First hop addition with 60 minutes to go. 1 tsp dissolved Irish moss for last 20 minutes of boil. Last hop addition with 15 minutes to go. |
