This is a basic recipe for Pilsen concocted after reading about the history of Czech brewing and drinking a case of Urquel over a weekend.

Steep: | Steep 1# of American 6 row crystal malt (10L) for 1 hour at 160° in 1.5 gallons of bottle spring water. |

Add 1 oz of yeastex at start of boil. Irish moss at 30 minutes. | ||||||||
Hops: | 1 oz. Saaz (3.6% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Saaz (3.6% AA, 30 min.) 1 oz. Saaz (3.8% AA, 15 min.) |

Yeast: | Pop 1 packet of Wyeast Czech Pils at 75° #2278 three days prior to brewing. Pitch at highly aerated wort after bringing wort to 5 gallons. |
