Basic Wheat Beer

METHOD: Bring water to a boil. Add the extract and bring to a second boil. After 15 minutes, add the hops and boil for 45 minutes longer. Transfer to fermenter when cool and add enough cold water to make 5 gallons. Pitch the yeast. Primary-ferment at 68 to 72 degrees for 5 to 7 days. Transfer to secondary fermenter. Secondary-ferment an additional 7 to 10 days at temperatures between 68 and 72 degrees. Bottle, using corn sugar. Age in bottle for 10 to 14 days. |
