20th Anniversary Mild

A quick-and-dirty extract-and-specialty-grain batch to commemorate
my 20th anniversary of homebrewing (September 16, 2007).

Beer: 20th Anniversary Mild Style: English Dark Mild
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
31 HCU (~16 SRM)
Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.038 FG: 1.004
Alcohol: 4.4% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Water: Calcium carbonate added to filtered steeping water.
Grain: .075 lb. German Carahell 10L
0.75 lb. Belgian CaraVienne
0.25 lb. Belgian Chocolate
Steep: Steeped in 160°F water for 20 minutes, then rinsed.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.035 6 gallons
4 lb. Extra Light dry malt extract
0.5 lb. Corn sugar
Rehydrated Irish Moss added at T-15 minutes.
Hops: 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
0.25 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Safale US-56.
Carbonation: Low carbonation. Ideally served with sparkler.
