Carlsbrew Dunkelweizen
I'm not a huge fan of wheat beer, but got interested in the style for an upcoming AHA Club Only competition. Color is actually darker than shown here.

Tasting: | I think I nailed this one according to style. I was shooting for a Bavarian Weizen, but I think it is more appropriate as a Bavarian Dunkelweizen due to the darker color from the extract I used. Banana aroma is right up front. Head is fantastic.Purposely left some yeast in suspension.Creamy, malty flavor also spiceiness from yeast. Will see how it fairs in competition. |
