Steep: | steep oats and grains in 2.5 gallons of 150 deg. water for 45 min. Sparge with one quart of 170 deg water. | |||||||

Hops: | 1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 45 min.) .5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.) |

Log: | Let ferment for 1 week at 68 deg. Rack to secondary for 2 weeks at 55 deg. Prime with 1 cup of dark DME and bottle. Age for 3 weeks at 50 deg. | |||||||
Tasting: | Tasted before I bottled, it tasted great. After about 4 months aging, this stout is very true to style. The head is rich and creamy, it has a chocolate coffee aftertaste. Not overpowering just right. Anyone choosing to brew this is in for a real treat. |
