Alcohol: 6.2% v/v (4.8% w/w)
Water: Aprox. 1 tbsp CaCl2 in strike/sparge.
Grain: 5 lb. British pale
6 lb. German Pilsner
3 lb. German Vienna
5 lb. German Munich
Mash: 97% efficiency
George and Jay did the mashing. Dough in temp hit
~62°C for ~15 min. Add more H20 temp about 68°C
start recirculation pump. Run for 40 min. Got
really good conversion.
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.053 13 gallons
3 whirl flocs at 20min
Hops: .5 oz. Cascade (5.7% AA, 75 min.)
3 oz. Saaz (3.7% AA, 75 min.)
2 oz. Saaz (3.7% AA, 20 min.)
2 oz. Ultra (aroma)
Yeast: 600ml / carboy American lager (2035)
Log: Fermentation got rolling ~ 24 hrs after pitch.
Put into chest freezer on 2/6/05 ~46°F
