Grain: 16 oz. American crystal 15L
8 oz. Belgian CaraVienne
1 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: Steep in cheese cloth at 150ºF for 30 minute using "Tea Bag" technique
Boil: 50 minutes SG 1.055 6 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Light dry malt extract
1 Tsp Irish Moss
1 Tsp Yeast Nutrient
Hops: 1 oz. Crystal (4.5% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Crystal (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (3.0% AA, 10 min.)
Yeast: Safale S-04 - 11 grams
Muntons - 6 grams
Log: Brew Date - 4/13/05
Pitched yeast at78ºF
Active fermentation after 4 hours
Rack to secondary 4/20/05 SG 1.022
Bottling Date 4/30/05 SG 1.020
54 12 OZ bottles
Carbonation: 1 cup corn sugar with bottle conditioning
