Bitterness: 49 IBU
OG: 1.070 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 7.3% v/v (5.7% w/w)
Water: All water is RO.
Grain: 25 lb. American 2-row 1.8L
8 oz. American victory 25L
3.5 lb. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils) 1.5L
4 oz. Roasted barley 500L
Mash: 78% efficiency
Heat mash water to 165° to mash in at 155° for 60 min. Mash out w/ 185° water to raise mash to 168°, hold for 10 min. before run-off.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.065 13 gallons
1Tablespoon Irish Moss last 15 min. of boil
Hops: 2 oz. Cascade (7.4% AA, 60 min.)
1.5 oz. Chinook (12.2% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (7.4% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12.2% AA, 5 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
1 oz. Chinook (aroma)
Yeast: Will be spliting this batch-
5.5 gal. w/ White Labs WLP001 American Ale yeast starter
5.5 gal. w/ GB German Lager yeast starter.
Log: Dry hop both w/ .5 oz. Cascade & .5 oz. Chinook in secondary.
Carbonation: Keg to corney's.
Tasting: May need to bring some to SD NHC in June.
