Tasting: | Primary fermentation was very active, I would highly sugest a blow- off tube to anyone repeating this recipe. Color and flavor were almost right-on with the original when I racked to the secondary. 11/20/03 Bottled half of the batch and kegged the other half. Very pleased with the results. Next time I will try a warmer mash for a fuller mouth feel. 12/1/03 Once the beer was cooled and carbonated the mouth feel was much improved. I am extremely happy with these results and wouldn't change anything with this recipe. As a variation of this recipe I might try dry hopping it next time with Fuggles in the secondary. |
