Hurricane Mild 1
This was my first batch in a few years and I wanted to do something simple. It started out as an American amber and ended up a mild. The OG was just too low.

Tasting: | The sulfer smell I was afraid of in the primary dissipated in the bottle. There is an herbal hop nose from the halletauer hops (very similar to sam adams) with little to no malt aroma. Taste is a nutty maltiness with a strong hallertauer flavor and moderate bitterness for the style. Mouthfeel is thin but not out of character for a mild. Overall, I'm happier with the finished beer now than I was when I tasted the green beer from the primary, but I was hoping to do better with this batch. |
